if i have a BAK file on a NAS can i restore it to a local Sql DB server?
Or if i have the BAK on the local server, can i restore it to the database, but store the MDF and LDF on the NAS?

IF this is possible in either way can someone please help me to know how?

Thanks a lot to all!!

Yes you can restore a database from a bak file on a nas. Yes you can restore the bak file on a local server and place the database files on the nas.

Nevermind. I got IT!

I was doing it correctly, I guess just didnt have proper permissions from the Server i was trying to restore from.
After i put the BAK on the NAS i was able to restore from there without a problem.

Thanks guys!
