Running one query on SQL SERVER 2000 SP2 I receive something like this:
Process 259 unlocking unowned resource: TAB: 5:162815642 []
Error: 1203, Severity: 20, State: 1
SQL Server Assertion: File: <proc.c>, line=1575
Failed Assertion = 'm_activeSdesList.Head () == NULL'.

I put max degree of paralellism to 1 and everythink was ok

I read Q319184 from microsoft and they tell me that there is fix for this and if I contact with them they will give me this fix, or I should wait till SP3.

Did somebody obtain this fix yet????

Keywords: kbSQLServ2000preSP3fix

Well,

There is no gaurantee that that fix is scheduled to be included in SP3. However, you may be better off waiting to find out.

Hotfixes are not regression tested, so you would need to do extensive testing with the hotfix before putting it into production. You can call support to get the hotfix, and ask them if this fix will be in SP3. If yes, then just wait, otherwise begin your testing.
