Hello : I would like to change the password in user 'SA' ... what are the implications to that

I have numerous DTS packages that are connected with the SA username and password ( meaning the connections donot use windows authentication) I have actually checked the box for SQl server authentication and typed in SQ and password to make the connection.

Will SQL server tell the DTS package to automaically use the new password ... also are there any other things to lookout for when i change the SA password ?

thanks.

SQL Server will not notify anything about the password change. Anything that is using the sa account will need to be modified to use the new password or better yet, modify them to NOT use the sa account!
