| Does anyone have SQL Server 7.0 running on the same box as IIS (Internet Information Server)?? After the SP4 install, it seems like the SQL Server process is taking more CPU time in relation to the IIS process than it was before. And in the Performance Tab of Task Manager, the CPU Usage used to be pegged above 50%, but now there are steep peaks and valleys. Also, the webpages that hit this server seem to be loading slower than before. And the SMTP server broke. It stopped sending out automated emails. Now we don't know how much of this is all actually related, but the issues seem to have started after SP4 was installed. The machine has been rebooted and the Windows NT 4.0 service pack that was on the machine (sp 6) was reapplied. Neither helped the situation. The machine has 2 cpu's and all of the SQL Server options for memory and processors have been left at their defaults.Does anyone have any thoughts on this?? We're at a loss. Thanks,KSW |

| Well, everything we did just made the problem worse. We tried reapplying the NT SP and upgrading MDAC a version at a time. Any attempt to connect to our websites timed out. So we will be rebuilding the server. We will probably just upgrade to SP3 instead of SP4.--KSW |
