Hello

Am getting the below error while trying to install sql cluster 2000 on win 2003 R2. Its an active/passive cluster.

The specified account cannot be validated to have administrator rights on node2.an error occured 1208, an extended error has occured.

Am giving domain admin credentails , which is admin for both nodes, but still the same error.

Appreciate any help on this regard.

Thanks,
Krishna

I have got the issue resolved. There was a time mismtach between both nodes & also with the AD server. I have made it sync & it solved the issue, eventhough am not sure how this reolved the issue.

Thanks,
Krishna

Clusters are very picky. The time synching is very important. Another common issue people run into when installing SQL Server on a cluster is that it'll bomb out if you are RDP'ed into both nodes during the installation.
