How do I do it such that I one would be able to access the tables via Stored Procedures?

just grant exec on stored procedures to the user..

Thanks for the idea although I think I need further help since I am new to this.

I will have to add a new login in the Security Menu -> Logins but what database role should I use? Only PUBLIC?

And is there a way to just grant the use all the rights to all existing SP without ticking those options?
