Is there a script to copy user level permissions from one user to another so that we dont have to go through the tedious process of checking off all those boxes ??

what i'm trying to do is troubleshoot a security issue with a test login account .... problem is that when i have to clone permissions from the users account to the test account it takes ages ...

is there a script available to do this ?

thanks

That's why roles should be used. You just add the user to the same role(s) and you're done.

I don't have a script for this.

I have approx 12 databases with about 6 to 10 roles setup in each database. So i am looking for a script to copy roles from one user to another ....

thanks again.
