Problem: When we are working on test server with same configuration as production server i am able to connect to the database through ODBC. Application is in Linx server. When I am moving to production system it is giving the error 08001 - connection refused.Both the systems are in same series. Application System Configuration:OS: Fedore 6 (Lnix)Connectivity to SQL Server through ODBC.---------SQL Server System ConfigurationOS – Windows Server 2003 Enterprise editionSQL Server – 2000 – Enterprise edition – service type 4 I require support to slove this problem ASAPThank you for doing the needfullmadhavi |

Start -> Control Panel -> Windows FirewallYou can also use netstat to ensure the port is being opened by sqlservr.exe and not another application. |
