some of the parts of the matrix have a tiny green mark in the upper right corner. What is this?

I am having trouble not displaying a subtotal column. I want it out but see no way to remove it.

tiny green triangle lets you set properties for the total/sub-total row in a matrix

Hey jones why don't you learn how to spell? Green, that is two e's not 3.
