 Attach database error ?

Hello,

I had an sql 2000 database and attached it to sql 2008, now i need to re attach it to sql 2000 but get error: "Error 5123: CREATE FILE encountered operating system error 5(error not found) ...."

How can correct this error ?

you can't attach a SQL 2008 database in SQL 2000.

Databases cannot be downgraded, not using backup/restore, not using detach/attach. Once a database is on a SQL 2008 server it is a 2008 database in every way and the earlier versions of SQL cannot work with it. This is regardless of what compatibility level the DB is set to

To 'downgrade' a database, you need to script all the objects, export all the data, create a new database on SQL 2000, recreate all the objects and reload all the data.
