Hi,Accidently i deleted some records from database.There was no regular backup scheduled.Once deleted, then i took backup of the database.Can i restore the deleted records from log file.Thanks,JP |

You need a backup taken before the delete (full database backup) and the log backups from that full backup up to the point just before the delete. That's if the DB is in full recovery. If the DB is in simple recovery, then log backups cannot be done, inactive log records are cleared on a regular basis and to recover anything you need the full backup taken before the delete.--Gail ShawSQL Server MVP |
