This would be desireable for utilizing the Query Analyzer Customizations for version control. Haven't tried it yet,
Any pitfalls?

You can use 2000 client tools for SQL 7 no worries. As for doing source control inside them... I think you might be entering a world of pain

Thanks Merkin, I just realized I could test this out safely. And it looks good. When I say version control I just wanted to be able to
use VSS integrated with Query Analyzer. SQL7 Query Analyser dosen't have Tools/Customize

So if I develop in SQL2000 Client Tools to an SQL7 it seems all clear..
