Hi All,I have been running SSRS 2005 on XP for some time. I've just recently replaced my machine and am now running Windows 7.I installed SQL 2005 SSIS & SSRS fine without any errors and after adding my windows login to report manager site security can deploy reports to the report server and can see them in the catalog of the report server DB using SQL management studio using a SELECT statement. When I attempt to run the reports in BIDS - no problem. Presumably, this is running against the data source using my windows login (which has permissions granted on the SQL server). When I attempt to run the deployed report from within the report manager the "Report is being generated" progress disc just keeps spinning until it eventually times out?I have the NT Authority\system and NT Authority\networksystem set up with RSEXEC roles on both reportserver and resportservertempdb........but no joy.Really pulling my hair out with this one!! Does anyone have any experience of this or a similar issue....its almost as if the service running the report is not being given permission or cannot find the report server....? But I'm just guessing here...hoping there some experts who actually know what the problem is.....Any help gratefully received.JAG7777777 |

Just to add to this explanation (in case it might help)?I also have SQL sever 2008 and SSIS,SSRS installed on the same machine. This works fine in all areas. With regard to the 2005 install, when I click on a report in report manager it serves up the parameters and allows my to choose them...so must be accessing the report server catalog..........so guess it is something to do with the report server temp db??JAG7777777 |
