| I tried to practice replication on my server and can't seem to get the allow peer-to-peer properties on the publication.any ideas would be great...thanks in advance--------------------keeping it simple... |

| if it's peer to peer, you need to have at least 2 instances of sql installed.yes, it will work on same machine, we do this in our dev environment |

Thanks for the reply Russel, I tried it out yesterday. Now, trying mirroring, just tried out logshipping...and tomorrow, combinations...quote:
