Will SQL Server run if the computer is on but no one is logged in? This is in XP Pro.

I would say yes.
When it is not running then no login is possible.
Have a look at running services on your machine.

You can set a database to "autoclose" so that it is not using resources when no one is using it - if that is a concern?

I actually want SQL Server to run when no one is logged in. It is running on a computer where I only want some people to be able to log in but SQL Server needs to be running all the time.

Is it possible to have Windows log out after a certain period of inactivity?
