I would like "SQL Server Reporting Services" to generate an Excel file, that is preformatted for printing. The formatting I require includes:1. Printing ONE page wide.2. Repeat printing designated rows at the top of each sheet.3. Row height set to a certain value.4. Headers and footers.Currently we are generating the reports and then formatting by hand theses features in the spread sheet every time. |

You can setup the page layout in the report properties, you can also create the reports in excel themselves. Run your query by an ODBC or something. |

I have setup the page layouts in report properties. These properties are not detailed enough to handle things like "fit to one page wide".These properties in some cases are not handed over to the excel output (row height expands to accommodate large items even when I "untick" "expand to accommodate contents", the excel output still expands to accommodate the largest item.I can not do this under an ODBC connection. That defeats the benefits of using "reporting services". |
