Hello everyone,Our company uses an SQL 2000 Server Database for quite a few years now with a set of old software which occasionally would cause my colleagues to either cringe or silently cry.Basically what we have to do is read some numbers from the Database and issue reports, for example in Excel, or make certain filtering operation on the database according to specific details. Like all items from a certain date, or change all the items names whose color is yellow etc. Now, I've been reading some about reporting but it seems we do not have the Reporting Services installed, nor would the company buy it.So, the purpose of this post would be to ask if there is any software which would enable us to create reports of some sort without the use of any scripting language? Like a friendly interface? At the end of the day we dont need any fancy algorithms just some basic data...Any advice would be highly appreciate.Thanks. |

Access has a very simple reporting interface, and it's easy to integrate it into SQL Server. I don't think SSRS 2000 is free. MS Offer an Eval version of it.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Any and all code contained within this post comes with a 100% money back guarantee. |

Thank for the replies guys, I think it's time to change direction and perhaps commission this to someone who can do it for us... |
