You also in the July cycle?

I've got most of my stuff organised. Just need forums posting stats and to go through my blog posting history.

Yep. You don't have to provide much data to them though. As long as your MVP profile shows your blog address and links to the sites where you answer questions, then they go to those sites and compare previous year's data to this year's.

I think Gail should demonstrate how much time he has spent in the Corrupted Database conference. Gail's post count is not huge, but value wise it is large because few people are knowledgeable to post in that arena. Any twit, me included, can post a load of twaddle in the YAK conference to boost post count ... but that aint a measure of "quality"

I think it depends on the Lead. Mine sends me an excel sheet each year with sections for blog activity, articles, conferences, forums, etc. I just fill that out and send to him. Doesn't take me long to pull all that stuff together. The forums are the hardest.
He does have a fair number of people to keep track of. He's responsible for all MVPs across the entire MEA (Middle East/Africa) region

These aren't my primary forums. Over at SSC I usually do 500-600 a month. I do try to find 2 or 3 examples of forum threads that either took a lot of work or had the OP gushing their thanks and put links into the report.

I expected you were more active over there, but I would still recommend that you sell yourself on the type of advice you give here as you are in a class-of-one with skills, knowledge and willingness to contribute in threads with subject like "Is my database toast?"
