Hi ,

SQL Server 2005 Express was working fine in Windows XP SP3.
Suddenly SQL Service's Stopped.

I tried to Start it,but Service did not started and displayed error msg.

I Uninstalled SQL Svr 2005 and
I tried many time's to Re-install SQL Svr 2005 Express ,
but at the time of SQL Configuration it is still giving
SQL Server Service failed to start error.

Could you guide me to overcome this issue.

I have noted in Norton Anti-Virus Log that
TCP Communication ... Blocked.
Could this be the cause.
I have disabled Norton Anti-Virus & Firewall.

But was not able to overcome this issue.

Note: Our other site is also using same Anti_virus but does not
have this issue.

I m using Local Service while installation.
I also found 1 knowledge base article regarding permissions on a folder
Protect in the Network Service user profile, but that folder doesn't exist on this sytem .

Anybody any ideas ?

I have also un-installed Norton AntiVirus ,but still face same problem while installing sql svr 2005 express.
