hello

i use SQL 2000

My database became very big

I know how to decrease the log file
(I use, DUMP and DBCC SHRINK DATABASE)

how about the file .MDF

I risk to have problems with my data?

DUMP means BACKUP.

DBCC SHRINKFILE is what you'd use to shrink the mdf file size down. But this is not a good practice. How much free space do you have inside the file?
