Hi All,Can we have Descriptive values in fact table?for eg; i want to analyze data based on remarks entered for any product.Is this the right way?What is the best practice?please guide me.TIA. |

If you can make it into a measure then it shouldn't be a problem, but it would be better to have a surrogate key in the fact table and the description in a dimension, this way, you are keeping your fact as small as possible as well as keeping everything in line with a DW design. |
