Dear All,

We have scheduled the database backup through the Job agent,The job has been failing with the following error.

Message
Executed as user: . The transaction log for database 'yyy' is full. To find out why space in the log cannot be reused, see the log_reuse_wait_desc column in sys.databases [SQLSTATE 42000] (Error 9002) BACKUP DATABASE is terminating abnormally. [SQLSTATE 42000] (Error 3013). The step failed.

Please help me to identify the root cause for the issue.

Thanks,
Gangadhar

Do you take regular backups of the Transaction logs?, if not happen look into creating an additional job to take a backup of the transaction log. This should then stop this problem
