Hi All,I have been using this forum for quite some time now.I have improved a lot in my SQL Server 2005 skills.From today i will be working on SSIS.I dont know anything abt this!!!I have got some tutorial on this and trying to learn something out of it.My very first question is, how will a source file of SSIS look like?should it be an XML or .doc or .xls?or can be any of these?Please help me in learning SSIS.Thanking All,Malavika. |

An SSIS package <package_name>.dtsx is XML.Why do you want to know that? No, you're never too old to Yak'n'Roll if you're too young to die. |

hi webfred,thanks for the reply. I actually dont even have the least idea of SSIS. So i got some file and read about packages.Now, from where should i start? Should i start using the tool and try out doing some project on that or is there anything i must know before starting with SSIS? |
