Hi All,

I have been using this forum for quite some time now.
I have improved a lot in my SQL Server 2005 skills.

From today i will be working on SSIS.
I dont know anything abt this!!!

I have got some tutorial on this and trying to learn something out of it.

My very first question is, how will a source file of SSIS look like?
should it be an XML or .doc or .xls?
or can be any of these?

Please help me in learning SSIS.

Thanking All,
Malavika.

An SSIS package <package_name>.dtsx is XML.
Why do you want to know that?

No, you're never too old to Yak'n'Roll if you're too young to die.

hi webfred,
thanks for the reply.

I actually dont even have the least idea of SSIS. So i got some file and read about packages.
Now, from where should i start? Should i start using the tool and try out doing some project on that or is there anything i must know before starting with SSIS?
