Can I schedule jobs using dts (as opposed to ssis) in sql 2005

Yes, you can call a DTS package within a SQL Agent job via dtsrun command.

thanks,
but I was thinking of installing sql 2000 so that the dts wizard is installed. that way i can run the wizard and create a package that can be scheduled. Do you know if this is possible?

Yes it's possible. Why can't you just use SSIS though? SSIS is soooo much better.
