Hello! I was trying to use a linked server from SQL Server 2005 to MySQL to add a new column to an already existing table on MySQL server.

I tried all the methods I know and none worked... if anyone can help me I would appreciate it.

I'm sure that my linked server works (all the other openquery are working).

TY

Linked servers don't allow you to add columns to a table. You'll need to do that in MySQL and not through a linked server.
