Dear All,
From the one week back i have took the responsibility of DBA.Till now was feeling good,,

I am very beginning to DB tuning where one of my manager ask me to do the following.

"We are experiencing performance issues on websites connecting to the SQL01 prod DB.
Can you please do a performance review on the DB, investigate what is causing the speed issue, and resolve the issue"

If somebody helps me in tracking
1.what and all i needs to check
2.which tool i need to use
3.Do i need to check particular DB
4.Any help in investigating above issue will save my Job

Thanks In advance,

If it's critical and, as you say you have no idea where to start, tell your manager that you don't know how to do query tuning and see about getting a consultant in. It's not an area you can learn in 10 minutes.
