active passive cluster is the publisher. Separate distributor and separate subscriber. They are all running windows 2008 ent r2 and sql standard 2008 r2.The publication was created and already has a subscriber. I went to check on the snapshot files which I have in the default snapshot folder and also going to a network share on the independent distributor machine. I noticed there were no files in the snapshot folder. It seems they were deleted after the snapshot was processed. When I checked the subscription options the snapshot always available was set to false and was grayed out so I am unable to change it. Was something missed during the setup process? Is there a way to change it now without recreating the whole thing. I would like the flexibility of being able to add another subscriber without having to wait for a snapshot to be generated. |

I guess this wasn't as simple as I thought. |
