| Hi,Is there a way to find out the original sizes (during first time implementation) of system tables and dbs like master, Model, MSDB etc. Since these sizes have changed, I need to know the minimum size.Thanks,Sarat. |

| I don't know how you are going to find the minimum sizes of these unless you do a fresh install. The minimum value for size is 512 KB, but I doubt that's what is used for the system databases, except model which is probably created very, very small.Tara |

| Hey,I found this on BOL looking for something else: Default size, typical setupmaster primary data Master.mdf 11.0 MB master log Mastlog.ldf 1.25 MB tempdb primary data Tempdb.mdf 8.0 MB tempdb log Templog.ldf 0.5 MB model primary data Model.mdf 0.75 MB model log Modellog.ldf 0.75 MB msdb primary data Msdbdata.mdf 12.0 MB msdb log Msdblog.ldf 2.25 MB I think I will use this as a baseline.Thanks,Sarat |
