Error initializing SMO trace reader on build 35

I keep getting this on multiple SQL Servers. All my SQL Servers are 2008, either 32 or 64 bit, and I'm logged in as a local admin. Nothing shows up in the event logs, and Profiler works fine:

Processing: Trace_20101027.trc
************************************************************
Error intializing the SMO trace reader object for C:\Users\Brent Ozar\Desktop\Trace_20101027.trc (Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.)

Ooo - and if I downgrade to 34, I get:

These are valid trace files (from multiple servers) that open fine in Profiler.

I had this same issue working on a Windows 2008 R2 x64 server using SQL 2008.

When I moved the traces and cleartrace to another server (also windows 2008 R2) and configured
it to use the first server as a database server everything went smoothly.
