How to store large pdf or doc file directly in sql server database for course management system for students to downkload later from website??
Is it a right approach to do so??

I believe the general consensus is to store them on a file server and store the location in the database

Brett is correct.

You will of course also need a way of managing the files. For example you don't want someone renaming a file without the database "knowing"
