We run DB2 on an iSeries V6 R1. The database instance on DB2 is 'm3ddbdev'. We also run SQL Server 2008. I want to generate a database diagram of our DB2 schema/tables and SQL Server does this very easily. I thought if I can access the DB2 db, then I can utilize the diagramming tool in SQLServer 2008 to make my diagram. Is the best method to create a LINKED Server to the DB2? Are their any other opinions about this out there? Anyone done this already? Thanks.Lukeleason2@hotmail.comLuke Eason |

Management Studio's diagram feature doesn't work with linked servers or non-SQL Server products. You'd need something like ErWin to generate a diagram for DB2. |
