I have a server with MSDE installed and i have enterprise manager installed on my workstation. I am trying to test a restore of a database, When i try to restore the db i get a error message that says "You must be logged on as 'sa' or a member of sysadmin or a member of dbcreator to perform this operation." I dont uderstand how i log in as sa under MSDE. I tried to create a user using Enterprise manager but i cant cause im not logged on as 'sa'.

Log on as an admin on the machine, and connect with windows auth.

Do you want me to log on to my WS as admin or the server that has MSDE? I am logged on my WS with my account which has domain admin rights.

You should be able to log in EM as sa. Try a blank password, if no go then you set a sa password during the MSDE install that you need to use.

If your sa password is blank you should add an sa password immediately. There are hack robots looking for sql servers with blank sa passwords.
