Hi

1.I Installed a Sql Server 2005 Ent Ed Sp3 in PD1 and PD2 this two servers are Configured With Active Passive Cluster Node. so Virtual Sql server instance Ip was [172.20.2.249]
It has Production databases.

3. We Have a Another Server for Reporting Purpose.this instance also
Sql Server 2005 Ent Ed Sp3, this Instance Ip was [172.20.2.260]
it has Some other databases.

4.Both Servers have Mixed Authentication Mode.
the report server have a one sql login account named 'reportuser'

5.I added linked servers in Production Server for [172.20.2.260] with login 'reportuser'


but I have a Continuous information on Production Server Application Event Log

Login failed for user 'reportuser'. [CLIENT: 172.20.2.260]

please suggest

Sounds like the report server (or something on it) is trying to use the account to log in to the production server. Is this an audit for login failures?

Try it with "Logins current security context" checked in the security tab of the linked server properties since both the servers are enabled for Windows authenrication.
