Hi everyone,
I wonder if some can help. I needed to upgrade my sql server so I have provisioned a Windows 2008 R2 64-Bit server. I checked with MS web site and they say SQL 2005 SP2 will run on 2008 R2. Installation went fine expect there is no SQL Server Management Studio(sqlwb.exe). I have provisioned this server 3 times so far and is the same, what is going on. Can anyone help please?

Thanks
Wessam

When you run the setup program for SQL 2005, on the Feature Selection screen you need to choose Client Components.

Also, SQL Server SP2 is supported on Windows Server 2008. For Windows Server 2008 R2 you need to install SQL Server 2005 SP3.

By the way, what edition of SQL 2005 are you installing?
