One filegroup is one physical file. Agreed. But think of someone who knows very little..looking at a file system, you only see 1 .mdf file, and the question is (in my interpretation) about how the objects are stored within that 1 file.Was just trying to keep it simple is all..but I should have been more specific. Thanks for the link so the OP can see that as well.
