For the past couple of weeks we have been seeing the temDB.mdf grow unexpectedly; it grows for 2 GB to 25 or 30 GB; I would hate to run a profiler to see what is causing this growth; is there any other way I can find out what is going on?Thanks, |

You can set up an alert to let you know when it is growing. It probably takes some time to reach that so you can see what's executing on the server at the time. You could also run an SP on a schedule to capture commands being executed (look for things with high io) so you don't miss what is causing it.==========================================Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.SSIS can be used in a similar way.Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy. |
