Hi everyone,

I'm reviewing trace info that I captured from a Profiler trace. I selected 3 Events under Locks - EventClass 25 (Deadlock), 59 (Deadlock Chain) and 148 (Deadlock Graph)

The data collected usually has multiple '59' records for each '25' record.

I'm trying to count the numebr of actual deadlocks that forced a process or transaction to end. The 59s are chained deadlocks I think.

Should I count all the 59s are only the 25s to get an accurate number of hard deadlocks that occurred?

Thanks, John
