OS: Windows Server 2003 R2 X64SQl Server: SQL Server 2005 SP4 X64Enviroment Meets all current DISA Standards. The issue is SQl Server is issueing the error 'SQLServerAgent could not be started(reason: StartupError: Tje'msdb' database does not exist). In fact the database does exist and is viewable from SSMS. There are no error messages within SQL Server. The only error is being written to the Windows Application Error Log. I do have good backups. Any suggestions on where to start looking to correct this issue?Note: SP4 was applied within the last few days. |

did you restarted SQL Server after the Service Pack? Try doing it once again. |
