| Is there typically a BIG performance gain with 4 rather than 2 processors?We are looking into buying a new Server for SQL to run on. One thing the network guy said is 4 700mhz processors or 2 1 - 1.2ghz processors. The 2 faster processors is the cheaper route... but which would typically give the better performance? I cant say cause I've never worked with a 4 cpu box before.Graz, NR, Rob...any ideas??DanielSQL Server DBA |
