                                            | This is completely unrelated to SQL or any database but where better to get some decent advice. The keyboard on my home pc is on the way out, half the keys on the bottom row only work intermittently, so time to get a new one, but which? My current one is one of the old microsoft ones with a few extra buttons for volume etc which I find useful, it also has a couple of usb ports which are sometimes useful but I can happily live without them. Here are my main criteriaWired No fancy split keyboard affairsNice to touch type on, I like to have it tilted.Full size but not massively bulky (modest wrist rests are ok.Programmable keys might be a nice bonus for the odd bit of Warcraft.any suggestions?steve-----------If debugging is the process of removing software bugs, then programming must be the process of putting them in. |

                                          | Some suggestions here: http://lifehacker.com/#!5058929/the-best-keyboard-youve-ever-typed-onBeing a Mac user now I would be remiss if I didn't suggest the Apple keyboard. Don't be put off by it until you actually try it out, it types better than you'd think it would.Peter, that Tactus keyboard is only listed as a concept. And I ain't shelling out $2K US for that other keyboard no matter how cool it is. |

                                          | 2k for a keyboard. WOW.It is ultra cool, but, it would suck for touch typing . No tactile feedback.Plus, there is NO WAY i could use a keyboard that cost more than the rest of the system!http://weblogs.sqlteam.com/jeffs/archive/2008/05/13/question-needed-not-answer.aspxHow to ask: http://weblogs.sqlteam.com/brettk/archive/2005/05/25/5276.aspxFor ultra basic questions, follow these links.http://www.sql-tutorial.net/ http://www.firstsql.com/tutor.htm http://www.w3schools.com/sql/default.asp |

The Logitech Ultra X is BY FAR the best keyboard I've ever used in terms of comfort. It has "laptop'ish" keys which are very smooth and silent and I also like that fact that it very flat (but I use it tilted as well). The only bad thing about it is the quality (!!)...I've had 3 or 4 of them and after a year or so some of the keys stop working. But for the ridiculously low price I've never bothered trying to fix it...I just bought a new one -> http://www.coopelectricalshop.co.uk/products/ProductDetail.asp?ProductCode=LOG-COM-920_000189-S- LumbagoMy blog-> http://thefirstsql.com/2011/02/07/regular-expressions-advanced-string-matching-and-new-split-function-sql-server-2008-r2/ |
