Dear mastersSQL server logs are not visible through Management studio --> Management -> SQL server Logsall the 6 archived #x and Current are listed underneath with 0 items in it.SELECT SERVERPROPERTY ('Errorfilename') shows the below and the folder contains all the approperiate SQL logs.eg. d:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\LOG\ERRORLOGThen why its not viewable thru management studio?Please assist.thanksshiva :) |

Are you using the Express edition of the management studio? |

Go to Help | About in SSMS and verify that the client tools are not the Express edition of the client tools. If they are not the express edition, then you need to verify whether or not you have permissions to access the log files.Jeff |
