Hi All, I am trying to instll sql server 2005 reporting service on windows 7 OS. but in the initial setp it throws the warning sying IIS is not installed/disabled. I have installed IIS in the windows component but even its installed but still am getting same warning when installing the SQL server for SSRS. Any help would be musch appreciated.Thanks,Snigdha. |

Thanks for the reply.But my prob still not resolved yet.As I couldnt see IIS manager..In my machine – I hv tried following steps::# From Windows 7OS Start Menu -> Control Pane -> Programs and features => ‘Turn Windows features on or off’# Internet Information Services > Web Management Tools >> (Contains below options) = > IIS Management compatibility -> IIS metabase and iis 6 configuration compatibility=> IIs management scripts and ToolsEnable the check box for all the options.Still not able to find the iis manager.Please suggest what should I do.Thanks.quote: Originally posted by russell See these:http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms143293(v=sql.90).aspxhttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/934164

IIS is only required if you want to install reporting services. Normally, that would not be required on a desktop OS and you wouldn't need it.However, if you really do need this on your desktop - then you need to make sure the IIS 6.0 compatibility options are selected. Once you have that done, then you will no longer get the warnings and will be able to install SSRS.Jeff |
