You'll need to provide more info, like what are you symptoms? Timesouts? Blocking? What are you seeing?

i have server with i7 intel
and database with 5 GB of data
when i log into that server i canot move my mouse in the screen.
I think there are 30 employees
which are log for 7 hour every day.
in my database there are a table of 3 GB of data contains jpg,files,word,excel..etc.
so how can I increase the efficiency?
and how can detect exactly where is the problem occurs.
i think I need a third party software to monitor and explore that problem : I/O - transactions deadlocks, cpu usage, time execution.
thank you!

You can use PerfMon, SQL Profiler (or better yet a server side trace, but I don't think you'll be able to do that), sp_who2 (or better yet Adam Machanic's script), missing indexes report (SQL Server Pedia), and various other things.

It sounds like you've got a memory and/or CPU problem. PerfMon will tell you what's the problem if you know how to use the tool. This isn't newbie territory though, you're going to need to do some reading first.

Doesn't change Tara's conclusion. 4GB of RAM is low for a server. My new desktop is coming with 12 GB.

Could also be poorly written code/poor indexing.

As Paul Randal would say, "there's no turbo button."

If there was some magic switch to flip to make things faster, it would be turned on automatically.
