Hi all SQL geeks
I have question regarding the Transaction on views. If the view is under deadlock what will happen for the Underlying table. That also under deadlock victim.

Lock would be always on base table and NOT the view

I thought to avert block on table to use the Views
can anybody give the solution to avoid the lock on table

i have a problem withh yhe query the below query generate monthly report i want to exclude sundays frm, that. how can i do it.

Avoid locks or minimise the time they are taken for? For the latter, optimise the queries. For the former, consider snapshot isolation. Just be aware of the impact on tempdb.
