Hi

I have created a package using Import/export wizard which imports table from access to table in sql.

If I run that pacakge it appends the data from access table to sql table and make the number of rows double whenever i run that package.

Now what I was looking for is to create a package which first clear the sql table and then import the table from access.

Any help would be appreciated.

Add an Execute SQL Task(s) that run DELETE or TRUNCATE TABLE statements on the affected tables before the Data Transformation tasks.

When you save the package and then open it in Business Intelligence Studio, there should be one or more Data Transformation Tasks that move data from Excel to SQL Server. You'll have to add the Execute SQL Task and then connect it to the first of those Data Transformations, so that it runs before all of them.
