Hi All,
I have a page which shows data in a grid based on the selection of 'place' in the dropdownlist. For each selection in the dropdownlist, to show data, joins are being used between tables. Since, I have 8 'places' in the dropdownlist and for each value, joins are to be used between tables, I think this will reduce the performance of the sql database. Is there any way I can avoid using joins?

Thanks,
mavericky

Sql Server loves JOINs. You should not avoid them. If you have performance problems post the (scripted out) table structures/indexes and the statement you're using.

Do you mean to say you haven't seen any performance issues and are guessing you will see some?
