Currently on the Development Server we have SQL Server 2005 Version 9.0.1399 and would like to install SQL Server 2008 Version on the SAME BOX.

Will it be possible if not what would have to be.

Many Thanks

yes. It is possible.

You will have to installed as a named instance if the current SQL 2005 is a default instance.

I would recommend (highly) that you apply SP4 to your 2005 instance before installing the 2008 instance. You are currently running the RTM version of SQL Server 2005.

maybe think about going up to 2005 fixpack 4311 - which sorts out a few memory leaks
