If I change db_user using sp_changedbowner 'xxx\MyUser', will it revoke privileges from the db_owner prior to doing this? How can I revoke all provileges from a database for that db_owner? I am not a DBA so need some help.. Thanks.

>>If I change db_user using sp_changedbowner 'xxx\MyUser', will it revoke privileges from the db_owner prior to doing this?huh? I chose not to respond to this yesterday because the question confused me. What exactly are you trying to accomplish? Is it that you have a user (a human) for which you would like to revoke privs and that person also happens to be owner of a database?Be One with the OptimizerTG

I want to give access to only one user to a database.. not even myself.. how do I do this? Do I just unclick the database roles for others and just give database role to that user created? This DB will be used by an application which should be accessed by only one user. Thanks!
