hi, not sure which forum to post in.
Apparently IIS7 scripting does not work with the following code.

--------------------
DIM conn
set conn = server.createobject("ADODB.Connection")
conn.open "PROVIDER=MSDASQL;DRIVER={SQL Server};SERVER=xxx.xx.x.xx;UID=xx;PWD=xx;DATABASE=xx"

'** Transaction START
DIM connCart
SET connCart = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")
connCart.open conn
IF connCart.Properties("Transaction DDL") = 8 THEN connCart.BeginTrans
-------------------------
I know it works 100% on IIS6 but a new domain has been put onto an IIS7 server and it doesn't work there.
thanks
michael

What happens?
do you get an error or is Transaction DDL <> 8?

Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.
SSIS can be used in a similar way.

Check your browser settings to make sure you have not got helpful error messages turned on
Check IIS setting to make sure error messages are returned to the browser (IIS, ASP properties, debugging, send messages to browser; and web.config debug settings)

That should get you a better message to work with

my windows computer is not setup properly and I cannot run local websites.
would someone please run www.stampsforsale.co.uk to see what happens?
The front page should appear and some of the others.
There is no pattern to what is happening (except some pages consistently fail!)
thanks

Look at the event log on the server, under applications, it should tell you what the error is.
