Hi everyone,

I am interested to learn about SQL Server, so basically I download the express verssion to learn.

Qs1: I repeated the downloading process quite a few time by running SQLEXPR.exe but I cant seems to locate it so that I can run it and start creating databases, tables things like that.

Qs2: For a newbie, anyone got books to recommended? Down to the level for pure novice (say I know nuts about DDL, DML etc etc, schema)

In regard to question 2, this is the best place you will find. No books on the planet have the knowledge of a handful of the regular visitors here. Just post your question, be prepared for followup questions and you will be guided down the path!

Hi DonAtWork,

Appreciate your respond, I had mis-structure my question. Instead ought to be where can I find sites for SQL Server lab practises?

As I need to test myself as a whole process (Design DB, Create DB, Table, Indexes, Constraint, Security, Access etc etc)

how to create a database for mail server??? means i want to know that
...if i create a database & it content all the mail ....each mail
content three field....like
1.address field
2.subject field
3.content field
..................
for easy to search the particular each mail in this
server.............kindly give details about it

i m student of computer sc & engg.
